A friend in need is a friend indeed. But, when it comes to winning a woman's hand, how two friends behave is interesting to watch. This forms the base for the film. Each behaves as he is sacrificing his love for his friend's sake, making the girl feel as if she is a commodity. Balu, Rajesh and Priya, played respectively by Sivaji, Rakesh and Roopa, are caught in a love triangle. However, this familiar story cannot suffice for the theme. To fill the rest, certain college scenes common to youth-related films these days, are incorporated into the film.
