Battlefield 3/Modern Warfare 3 Underestimate Intensity of RAGE (Interview)

As attendees of E3 2011, Jessica Nigri and I saw a collection of impressive titles set to grace our gaming platforms at some point in the future. With shooters being unarguably the most popular genre this console generation, the competition was and still remains fierce. With Activision beginning Microsoft's Media Briefing with raw gameplay footage of Modern Warfare 3, to Electronic Arts blowing attendees away with Battlefield 3, the companies came out full force this year to prove why their title deserves all of the attention later this year or even next year.

Third-person shooters also had a monumental presence on the showfloor as Gears of War 3 and Uncharted 3 hosted extensive lines filled with eager gamers waiting to get their hands on the game for their very first time. Both titles looked absolutely amazing and are set to be two of the largest blockbuster titles this holiday season!

Now while all of these titles are great and have built impressive fanbases, there is a new FPS on the block that may soon find its self in the premiere group of titles mentioned. RAGE, developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks, had a notable appearance at E3 2011 and Jessica and I were fortunate enough to check the game out behind closed doors where we met up with the President of id Software, Todd Hollenshead and asked him what RAGE would be introducing to the gaming industry on October 4th when the title launches on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
