Betsy (Smittle) is the daughter of singer Colleen Carroll Brooks and half-sister of the country legend Garth Brooks.
This album “Rough Around the Edges” is predominately country ballads tinged at times with melancholy blues and rock, and was Betsy’s Atlantic Records (1994/5) debut, which unfortunately never really took off, and sadly is now out of print.
“If I Don’t Stay the Night” & “Southern Wind” are both softer love ballads that blend well, hence this video. These songs truly complement each other.
