Service Learning Champions by Club Leadership

Service Learning Champions is an "Absent Narrative" short film directed, produced and filmed by the Club Leadership Group of the Barack and Michelle Obama Service Learning Magnet in St. Paul, MN. This production is through a collaboration with the Minnesota Humanities Center and the National Youth Leadership Council. This film features interviews with Service Learning Champions throughout the United States. Students developed a video vocabulary, learned the basics in video production and were given the tools to edit in I Movie. The original score was also developed by the students through the application "Rock Band". Grady Appleton (Mr. Pickles), New Media Associate with the Minnesota Humanities Center was the mentor during this period.
