Neelkanth Temple, Rishikesh

Lord Shiva took it upon himself to drink the poison that churned out during the Sangar Manthan. On drinking the poison, his throat turned blue and from then on Lord Shiva was called Neelkanth. This temple is supposedly where he drank the poison.
