Tisca Chopra On Her Role In English Play "Dinner With Friends"

Dinner With Friends premiered last night in Mumbai and Tisca Chopra who took to the stage after a long time was understandably nervous. The actress' tryst with acting began when she started out with bit roles in plays directed by Feroze Khan. "It feels good to be back after ten years. Feroze Khan and I go a long way back and now to be playing a full-fledged role in this play is very special for me." The Pulitzer Award-winning play has her playing the parallel lead along with actor Perizad Zorabian Irani. The play revolves around issues that urban modern married couples face in their day-to-day life. "I play a failed artiste's role and in many ways I could relate to the character. Before Taare Zameen Par happened to me I was quite unsuccessful in life. I was a university topper and people had a lot of expectations from me but then I failed to live up to it. When this character came to me, I took a few leaves out of my own story and literally lived the part," she reveals.
