Sadabad Okçuluk Gösterileri 2006-Bölüm I

This is the first Turkish traditional archery re-enactment in the Republic era. It was planned, scripted and choreographed by Dr. Murat Özveri, performed by the members of OKADER, the former society that had been founded by Özveri. This society as well as the show were the first-ever systematic attempt to spread and institutionalise this ancient martial art and sport since 1939. This team has been trained in traditional style shooting in 2005, just one year after Özveri found out the fundamentals of the technique and represented Turkey in archery competitions in Hungary. Dr. Özveri continued to realize the event for Kagithane Municipality in 2007, 2009 and 2010, and with his group "Tirendaz Archers" in recent years.
