Despite being renowned for their wild behaviour, the rock stars at the NME Awards had some unusual rock and roll moments to share.

Critically acclaimed British band The Vaccines named having tea with their mums as the pinnacle of their rock and roll behaviour and all female band Warpaint offered staying out past their bedtime.

Popular Mancunians, Hurts, refused to share their secrets as did infamous rocker Carl Barat.

Meanwhile, rapper Professor Green fled the red carpet after beginning a sentence about losing some boxer shorts in Berlin.

However, NME award-winners Biffy Clyro saved the day by admitting that they once got a helicopter to a private jet, a journey that had once been a dream of theirs.
