The Mastretta MXT was a little-known sports car until about two weeks ago, when hosts of the hit BBC show "Top Gear" featured it on their programme. The review was less than favourable, with hosts referring to the vehicle as a "tortilla" and serving up a litany of anti-Mexican stereotypes. A diplomatic spat between Mexico and the programme-makers followed -- but the scandal may in fact be a blessing in disguise for the carmakers, who say the Mastretta is receiving more attention than they ever imagined.
