Protei is an autonomous inflatable articulated sailboat that collects Oil Spills. An Oil Spill drifts downwind, Protei sails upwind pulling a long oil-absorbing boom "tail". The design process of Protei is entirely Open-source, so anyone (you included) can contribute, use, modify and distribute Protei. Many marine applications are possible beyond Oil Spill cleaning.
