Colin Firth: 'I'm no eco-warrior'

Despite owning a shop called Eco-Age, Colin Firth has declared he's not an eco-warrior.

The King's Speech actor and his wife own a store in London selling ecological products and accessories, but Colin admits despite having a whole shop dedicated to helping people be more eco-friendly he is, "in love with wastefulness".

The 50-year-old said: "[I] want to upgrade my gadgets all the time and fly everywhere, so it's a very, very painful learning curve for me, I have to say."

The father-of-two is busy promoting his new film and has revealed that he only got into acting so he did not have to wear a suit to work.

"I saw all these contemporaries of my dad going to work every day with briefcases and suits," he said.

"I thought, 'I'm not doing that - I'm going to be an actor and it's going to be a wild, crazy profession and I'll never have to put a suit and tie on', and then look what happened!"
