Times Square New Year's Eve: Waterford Crystal Installation

Landmark Sign workers complete the installation of the sparkling new Waterford Crystal triangles featuring this year's "Let There Be Love" design on the Times Square New Year's Eve Ball. The crystals feature a beautiful modern cascade of hearts combined with famous Waterford diamond cutting. The triangles, each about 3/8" thick, 4.75" to 5.75" in length, and weighing 6.8 ounces, are custom-designed and built to exacting standards to withstand the stresses of high winds, precipitation and temperature fluctuation that exist more than 400 feet above street level. Bethany Phillips and Geoffrey Dubit, selected in a contest by GetMarried.com, will be the first couple ever to wed as part of the official TSNYE celebration, and will pose for photos with their specially engraved "Let There Be Love" Waterford Crystal triangle that will be installed on the Ball.
