Michael Winslow, the 'Man of 10000 Sound Effects' and star of the Police Academy films is in London and has a few words of wisdom to share with his fans.

Crucially, Winslow advises fans not to make noises on planes. The actor said: "Apparently it's a British federal crime to do the sound of the flight attendant call button on an aircraft. You can't do that anymore. You will be punished."

His other words of warning apply to restaurants and household pets. Winslow advises remaining quiet when in restaurants and never impersonating an animal in front of them, adding: "they will bite you."

Winslow featured in seven Police Academy films making sounds which included animals, machinery and electronic devices.

He has recently launched his own range of iPod Apps, which feature his sounds in different games including ThatsKungFu, a game in which users swing their phone in a fighting motion.
