A group of American stunt artists perform a unique aerial dance on the walls of an ancient fort in India's Hyderabad City. The act was to spread awareness on the need to protect the environment.

A group of American dancers named “Bandloop” performed an aerial dance on the walls of the historical Golconda Fort in India’s Hyderabad City on Sunday.

The objective of this unique performance is to encourage people to protect the environment.

The historic setting played a perfect backdrop for artists who displayed their skill with the ropes and limbs.

Like spider monkeys, they scaled the walls and astonished the audience with gravity-defying moves and acrobatics.

The uneven, vertical walls of the 13th century fort turned into a flat horizontal dancing floor for artists, loping along its walls and leaping into the air in perfect coordination.

For a thrilling view of all the acts, the spectators enjoyed watching the performance from atop a stage.

[Rajesh Desai, Spectator]:
“I have not seen anything like this before. It was one of the first of its kind. The backdrop was spectacular. Our architecture (was) put to great use and I hope they will perform again."

This was the group’s first public performance in India.
