Tibetan Youth Congress Protest China Hosting 2010 Asian Game

Many Tibetans living in northern India think that CCP-controlled China is an unfit host for this year's Asian Games. They say the regime's poor human rights record should disqualify it from hosting the prestigious sporting event. One Tibetan rights group organized a motorcycle rally in protest.
A caravan of six motorcycles carrying ten protesters arrived in the Indian capital on Monday. These members of the Tibetan Youth Congress organized the motorcycle rally to protest the 2010 Asian Games being held in China. They say the Chinese regime has a poor human rights record, and doesn't deserve to host the games.
[Ishe Karshan, Tibetan Youth Congress Activist]:
"We aren't against the Asian Games; we just believe that China doesn't have the moral right to host such prestigious games. Since the time China captured Tibet, there is no human value and human rights are being violated."
The Tibetan Youth Congress protesters are calling for the Chinese regime to give Tibet independence, release Tibetan prisoners, and stop the abuse of Tibetan women and the environment.
Many Tibetans demand complete independence from China—or "Free Tibet"—while others, including the Dalai Lama, call for what they refer to as "meaningful autonomy." Both camps agree that Tibetans are being oppressed under communist rule.
By the time of Monday's protest, the fifteenth annual Asian Games had already begun. They opened Friday in China's southern Guangdong province. The games last for two weeks and will host roughly 10,000 athletes from 45 countries.
