Trick or Treat from the Obamas

US President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle weclomed Halloween revellers to the White House.
They handed out White House cookie boxes and dried fruit to school students and children from military families.
The service families carried on the celebrations inside the White House after the treats were handed out.
Meanwhile around 2 million people got dressed up for an annual parade in New York's Manhatten.
This year's parade had the theme "Memento Mori", inspired by the Day of the Dead puppets which first appeared in the parade about twenty years ago.
The event, now in its 38th year, saw a wide range of people in fancy dress walk through the streets alongside musicians and dancers.
