Diego Maradona turns 50
Football fans around the world will be toasting Diego Maradona as he celebrates his 50th birthday.
The Argentine legend was widely seen as one of the world's best-ever players in his 1980s' heyday, but he battled drug addiction, obesity and alcoholism for years after retiring from the game in the 1990s.
Maradona is reprtedly eyeing a Premier League manager's job after being sacked as Argentina manager after the team's 4-0 World Cup 2010 quarter-final thrashing by Germany.
Asked if he had considered moving to England, he said: "Yes of course I would like to, I would really love it. It has great teams at an exceptional level with great players.
I was looking at Arsenal and Chelsea and I've talked to Kevin Keegan. Everything is so professional. The players are surrounded by everything they need - the players, the managers, the coaches, everything is phenomenal.
"I want to be very clear that I didn't offer myself for anything, nor did anyone offer me anything."
