Sugababe Amelle Tweets about drink-driving charge

Singer Amelle Berrabah has responded to reports of her recent drink-driving charge on social networking website Twitter.

Amelle, a member of pop group Sugababes, was stopped while driving her Mercedes through London last week.

Writing on Twitter the star said she had been out drinking with friends the night before, and was stopped on the way to her "normal 6am jog".

"It was obviously still in my system," she wrote. "I'm sooo angry with myself I felt fine and had a coffee."

Berrabah is due to appear on bail at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on October 8.
