Carey Mulligan landed Wall Street without audition

Carey Mulligan is one lucky actress. She was offered a part in Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps before doing an audition, or meeting director Oliver Stone in person.

"My agent called me and said that Oliver was going to call me, which is strange. And he rang me, and he was in his car, and said 'Just come to L.A. There's a script,' said Carey.

"And I just assimilated all this information and thought 'Crikey, okay.' So I went and sat in a room and just read my scenes. And then said that I would love to," she added.

The British star, 23, who was nominated for an Oscar for her part in An Education, plays Gordon Gekko's daughter Winnie.

Carey also found a boyfriend during the process. She began dating co-star Shia LaBeouf after they met on set.
