Jennifer Saunders to write Spice Girls musical?

Jennifer Saunders is apparently going to write the script for the Spice Girls musical.

If the reports are true, this will be the comedian's first project since getting the all clear from breast cancer recently.

The show, which currently goes by the name of Viva Forever, is the brain child of Judy Craymer who produced the Mamma Mia! musical, which went on to become a smash hit at the cinema.

Also involved with the Spice Girl musical is Simon Fuller, who was the band's original manager.

Jennifer, who is one half of the comedy duo French and Saunders, has worked with the Spice Girls before, having had a cameo role in their 1997 movie Spiceworld.
