Réintroduction du Gypaète Barbu dans l'Arc Alpin

Fontvieille et Rocca sont les deux Gypaètes Barbu lâchés par SAS le Prince Albert II de Monaco le 22 mai 2007, (Journée Internationale de la Biodiversité) au cœur du Parc du Mercantour, sur la commune de Roubion. Cette cet événement intervient dans le cadre d’un partenariat sur 3 ans entre la Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, le Parc du Mercantour et le Parc Alpi Marittime sur la réintroduction et la protection des Gypaètes dans le sud des Alpes.

Fontvieille and Rocca are the two Bearded Vultures released by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco into the heart of the Mercantour Park in the village of Roubion on 22nd May 2007 (International Biodiversity Day) within the scope of a 3 year partnership between the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Mercantour Park and the Alpi Marittime Park for the reintroduction and protection of Bearded Vultures in the southern Alps.
