Virginia Commonwealth University - Emergency Exercise "The Shooter" (1) Produced & Directed by TRP360
This is an emergency exercise of a high school shooting for first response, lock down, take down and medical treatment of all victims. The Professor and student with no prior experience in the virtual world under took the task of learning the exercise, the virtual props and communications by repeating the drill over the course of two weeks using only in class time. Each time more was added to ensure all aspects of emergency protocol were implemented. The greatest benefit comes from everyone involved wanting to do the exercise over and over again in order do it better and more realistic each time; in the way a lesson plan turned into an enjoyable challenge to go above and beyond the previous drill in both thought and action.
