Cinema magic back with The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Good news for magic fans waiting for the new Harry Potter, there is some new sorcerery happening at the cinema this week.

Nicolas Cage's new Disney film, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, has just been released.

The fantasy adventure is the story of Dave, played by Jay Baruchel, who is chosen to be Merlin's successor, and therefore the apprentice of Cage's character, Balthazar Blake.

It is packed full of big cinema special effects, which Baruchel, 28, had no problems with.

"I am a cronic daydreamer," the actor said.

He added: "I have grown up imagining stuff like this anyway, so everytime they said 'alright Jay, there's a dragon chasing you', I'd be like 'yep, way ahead of you!"
