Crime, drug addiction, AIDS, and prostitution are facts of life in the Mathare slums in Kenya's capital, Nairobi. Hundreds of thousands of people live here in the most deprived of conditions.
One organization has set itself the goal of using soccer to get the kids here off the street. It is called the Mathare Youthsports Association, or MYSA for short. But there's more to it than just playing ball. These kids are learning to shape a better future for themselves and improve their chances in life.
