What are the myths of being a good leader?

Dr. Katharina Balazs is a Professor of Leadership and Multicultural Performance in the European Executive MBA programme, at the ESCP Europe Paris Campus.

Of Hungarian and Swedish origin, Katharina Balazs holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from HEC, Jouy en Josas, an MBA and M.Sc. from INSEAD, Fontainebleau and an MS from The University of Vienna, Austria.
Before joining ESCP Europe in 2001, she has worked as an organizational consultant in Scandinavia and Central Europe where was specialized on strategic and cross-cultural management issues in companies undergoing international mergers and acquisitions.
She is the author and co-author of several books, articles, cases, and research papers on leadership, organizational excellence, downsizing, and organization transformation and change. Her other research interests are entrepreneurship, cross-cultural management, and creativity, innovation in organizations. Her current research on the great chefs in and outside France focuses upon the roles of leadership and innovation in achieving organizational excellence. She is also active in executive development focusing on leadership and cross-cultural management in multicultural organizations.
