More than 2,000 people gathered on the sand of Omaha Beach in St Laurent-sur-Mer, to take part in a giant picnic followed with a blues concert and with an impressive fireworks display.
It was one day of June 2010, an army of US re-enactors “made in Normandy” had decided to bivouac overlooking Omaha. The fireworks experts of Omaha Beach prepared for the 23H30 major blast.
