Stars turn out for True Blood Season 3 premiere

Hollywood couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer hit the red carpet together for the True Blood Season 3 premiere in Los Angeles.

Paquin and Moyer, who met whilst filming the hit TV series, recently announced they are engaged.

Vampire drama True Blood is based on the The Southern Vampire Mysteries novels by Charlaine Harris. In the TV show Paquin plays Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress who is in love with a 173-year-old vampire called Bill Compton, played by Moyer.

As well as cast members, other celebrity guests included actor Bill Paxton and actress Kate Bosworth.

When asked why she thinks fans are so devoted to the show 27-year-old Paquin said: "It is an exciting story. The characters are really beautifully drawn. It is really emotionally rich. These are the reasons I love doing it as an actor and I'm assuming those are the things that fans respond to when they watch it."
