Royalty of a regal and celebrity kind have united to support the Caudwell Children ‘Butterfly Ball’, where Sir Elton John performed.

The 10th anniversary was held at Battersea Evolution and hosted by Olympian Colin Jackson CBE, who said he felt very excited to be a part of the event.

The colour of the Caudwell charity is purple and many of the guests adhered to the dress code including Sinitta, Fergie, Princess Beatrice and Olympian Jade Johnson.

Dame Shirley Bassey, Liz Hurley and Lulu wore sparkly, glamorous outfits for the evening but hurried inside without talking to the press.

When asked why he set the charity up, founder and buisness tycoon John Caudwell said: "I see the children, I see the cause, I see the problem and I have a need to do something about it".

The Charity has supported children with over 300 different conditions and has previously been acknowledged as the second largest voluntary provider of specialist equipment in the UK.
