"Designing the unknown" is a film realized by Mines ParisTech for the Shanghai 2010 World Expo. It aims at presenting C-K Theory, a universal design theory that has received outstanding acknowledgment throughout academia around the word. With this video, we hope to help more people understand the basics and general findings of the theory.

C-K Design Theory or Concept-Knowledge Theory is both a design theory and a theory of reasoning in design. It defines design reasoning as a logic of expansion processes, i.e. a logic that organizes the generation of unknown objects. C-K theory is also a design theory which explains cognitive and collective aspects of design activities by such specific mode of reasoning.
