The three main party leaders have cast their votes in the General Election.

The Conservative Party leader David Cameron was the first to visit a polling station in Oxfordshire accompanied by his pregnant wife Samantha.

Asked on his way out of Spelsbury Memorial Hall in Witney how he was feeling, he said: Good, thanks. I am feeling good, I will leave it at that."

Labour leader Gordon Brown arrived in North Queensferry, Fife, this morning with his wife Sarah. Asked by reporters whether he was feeling confident he smiled and replied: " Good to see you all."

Minutes later, Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg cast his vote in Bents Green Methodist Church in Sheffield.

With his wife Miriam by his side, he paused for photographers an waved to the cameras. He said it was a 'very nice morning'.
