Sandra Bullock has filed for divorce

Sandra Bullock has revealed she has filed for divorce from her husband Jesse James and has also adopted a baby.

The Oscar-winning actress is pictured on the front cover of this week's edition of People magazine holding the newborn.

Apparently Sandra and Jesse began adoption proceedings four years ago and brought three-and-a-half-month-old Louis Bardo home in January.

But the couple decided to keep it to themselves until after the Oscars where Sandra won Best Actress for her performance in The Blind Side.

However Sandra and Jesse then separated following allegations that Jesse had been unfaithful.

In the exclusive interview, 45-year-old Sandra says she has adopted Louis - who was born in New Orleans - as a single parent, revealing she is filing for divorce.

Speaking about the end of her five year marriage to Jesse, the magazine quotes Sandra as saying: "I'm sad and I am scared."

But Sandra is clearly feeling elated about becoming a mum. She told the publication: "He's just perfect, I can't even describe him any other way."
