Shanghai's Oriental Pearl Tower, a building that has become a symbol of China's financial center, caught fire early Tuesday.

Flames could be seen near the large television antenna at the top of the over 1,500 foot high tower.

The cause of the blaze is not known.

Local television reports it may have been caused by a lightning strike. No casualties have been reported.

The tower is located at the tip of Lujiazui and sits close by the Huangpu River.
