Following the annoucement of Jean Lesage's resignation, on September 9th, 1969, M.N.A, Robert Bourrassa announced, the following October 17th, his intention to become the Quebec Liberal Party's next leader. The following is an excerpt of Robert Bourrassa's speech, which he delivered, during the Party's leadership race, to the Montreal Board of Trade.
