Ancient Greece in London with Clash of the Titans

Leicester Square was transformed into a scene from Ancient Greece for the world premiere of Clash of the Titans.

Ruined columns, Medussa stricken stone soldiers and pyrotechnics created a scene worthy of the 3D remake of the classic original.

Sam Worthington, who plays demi-god Perseus, braved the rain with his beautiful female co-stars Gemma Arterton and Alexa Davalos, and fellow sword wielders Mads Mikkelson and Nicholas Hoult.

Worthington has become known as a blockbuster favourite with his last three major films Terminator Salvation, Avatar and now Clash of the Titans.

The movie was not originally intended to be released in 3D but with the success of films like Avatar the studio thought it was a perfect movie to be developed into a 3D blockbuster.
