Shinto, the Karate Kid, was born in Okinawa, the cradle of the Martial Art called Karate.
Long time ago Master Miyagi went to Shaolin Temple and learned Kung Fu. After returning to Okinawa, he developed a new style of hand fighting called Te, which then became the now famous "Karate". Karate means empty handed. Some of the Karate styles use their hands to fight, others use their feet to kick their opponents.
