Land-based biodiversity Part 1 of 4 (Sinhala)

Sri Lanka's forest cover is now down to 20% of land area and is under siege by its 20 million people. Since the 'guns and guards' approach to protection isn't working, what can save biodiversity? What new methods and strategies can save species, forests and people?

This is one of 10 TV debates broadcast in mid 2008 in the 'Sri Lanka 2048' series, co-produced by TVE Asia Pacific and MTV Channel (Private) Limited, in partnership with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and sponsored by the Government of the Netherlands.
