Harel Skaat (Hebrew: הראל סקעת) is an Israeli singer. He was the runner-up of the second season of Kokhav Nolad ("A Star is Born") in 2004.
In December 2009, the Israel Broadcasting Authority selected Skaat to represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010.
The song will be selected during a speical television program broadcast on Israel's Channel 2 on March 15, 2010, and will come from one of four nominees, selected by a "panel of music specialists", from dozens of entries by some of the most elite Israeli songwriters.
The songs are:
"Le'An" (Where to?) by Sahar Hagay and Eyal Shahar,
"Millim" (Words) by Noam Horav and Tomer Hadadi,
"Ela'yich" (To You) by Noam Horav and Ohad Chitman, and
"Le'hitkarev" (To get closer) by Sahar Hagay and Nitzan Keikov.
