Horizon Charters - At the Dive and Travel Expo

While Travelers in Paradise was at the Pacific Northwest Dive and Travel Expo we visited with Horizon charters captain Greg Grivetto. Horizon Charters runs two great live aboard dive boats out of San Diego California. The 85 foot 'Ocean Odyssey' and the 80 foot ‘Horizon’ can be found out at Guadalupe Island for the great white shark season or cruising off the coast of Baha on a whale watching trip. They also do great Eco Tours along the coast of southern California, Baha and into the Sea of Cortez and have been chartered for many marine science expeditions and schools. Some of the more popular dives that they do are the shark cage dives off of Guadalupe Island. This 22 mile long island is home to hundreds, maybe thousands of large hungry great white sharks. This is one of, if not “THE” coolest dives that a scuba diver can do, and should be on any divers “Bucket List”.
