ZAIDEO.com: An American In Afghanistan

In 1972, a young man named Frank Petrella travelled from home town in Mingo Junction, Ohio to Europe; then took a bus ride from London to India, stopping in Afghanistan long enough to fall in love. 33 years later, he was the dean of Visual Communications at the American University in Dubai when the call of a war-torn Afghanistan persuaded him to return.

Unlike most Americans who were in Afghanistan, however, he was not there to fight.

Now done with his tenure there and having returned in Ohio, Frank tells his version of life in Kabul as you've never heard in the broadcast media before.
