Discrete Optimisers - 10 - Optimum Outcome?

The final test! Very discretely, the optimisers have spent all summer working on finding good algorithms for a traffic control system on the Kiel Canal. Now it’s time for an important meeting in Hamburg where they are going to present their results. At the meeting their nodes and edges will be examined in exacting detail... Only if all of those responsible are satisfied with the outcome can they proceed to stage two of the project, so they are all waiting on tenterhooks to hear the verdict. Is it the optimum outcome?
