TIDE TV in Hamburg of Germany has broadcasted a report on journalist-writer and human rights defender Jahangir Alam Akash.
Journalist-writer Akash has made investigative report on extra-judicial killings, corruption, minority oppression and Islamic militancy in DW German Radio (International media, radio), CSB News in Bangladesh and the oldest Bengali newspaper of Bangladesh Sangbad daily. Only for his professional activities he has obtained huge enemies from different sectors such as Army, RAB, Islamic militancy, some political influential. So, he was illegally arrested, tortured and detained for 28 days by army-RAB in 2007. They wanted to kill him. RAB was tortured him in front of his child, wife, and rental house owner. They gave him electric shocked, hung him with the ceiling, they blind folded him.
