Minu Bakshi’s album “Haathon Mein Mehndi Rache” launched by the evergreen Sharmila Tagore It was a music album launch with a difference. Noted fashion designers, Rohit Bal, Varun Bahl, Suneet Verma and Ritu Beri and leading jewellery brand, Asmi came on board at this wedding celebration. Saregama India Limited, India’s premier music company in collaboration with Asmi Diamond Jewellery (Gitanjali Gems), launched “Haathon Mein Mehndi Rache” – The Complete Collection of Wedding Songs by artiste, Minu Bakshi. The album was launched by the ever so elegant Sharmila Tagore along with Saregama VP Mr. Atul Churamani at Cibo, New Delhi. This music launch was completely unique as it broke the mould with; wedding rituals enacted on songs from the album, choreographed by none other than Harmeet Bajaj. Magic was added to this evening with models in the thematic showcase adorned in the collections of Rohit Bal, Varun Bahl, Suneet Verma and Ritu Beri, and exquisite diamond jewellery provided by Asmi. Invitations to the event came with the signature rich design of Rohit Bal. A sneak peek into the album came with the live performance of the title track “Haathon Mein Mehndi Rache” by Minu Bakshi. A Hindi album of wedding songs is being released after a very long time. The artiste, Minu Bakshi, conceived the idea, given the success of her previous wedding song albums in Punjabi. Composer Satish Sharma and lyricist Ajay Jhingran have crafted ten beautiful songs for each ritual of a Hindu wedding. “Haathon Mein Mehndi Rache” perfectly captures the wedding spirit beginning with the Mehndi ceremony right upto the time of Bidai.
