A beginner's guide to reining (TRAILER)

Her mount, Fury, belongs to Francesca's daughter Tabitha who shows Fiona how it's done. It turns out Fury is a famous TV personality! Francesca explains that reining is 'centred riding', the aids are mere suggestions and courage is needed to let go of the contact. She talks Fiona through the 'controls' and explains the origins of the the jog and the lope. She says "think of the reining horse as a form of conveyance, when you put him in gear you just let him carry you". Fiona gets over the odd feeling and even manages a few tricks!
