John says, "the idea for this came to me as I was traveling around Europe doing publicity for the for movie 'Cars.' I kept finding myself thinking what would Mater do, driving on the opposite side of the road ... and getting stuck in giant roundabouts in Paris ... and in Italy with all the scooters ... if I get the op...portunity to do a sequel for 'Cars' I'd love to take them here to Europe"
