I had my day in court on Thurs. Oct. 1, 2009 and explained my case to the judge stating that Sec. 59.1-207.3. of the Automobile Repair Facilities Act, "Written estimate for repair work required upon request;" After hearing both sides the judge agreed that the Shorty's Auto Repair Shop should have contacted me before doing any work and that he knew Mr. Artie Tolbert and had him in his court before. I explained to the judge that it wasn't about the money but the shop business practices which I felt they had done this type thing in the past to other customers in Hampton Roads, VA. The judge sent a message, continue "Business As Usual."
