Lyris's trip

  • il y a 15 ans
Lyris is a reading machine designed by Texte et Relief (http://texteetreliefinenglish.wordpress.com/),
a French company which develops equipments and softwares adapted for blind and visually impaired people since 1998.

We're going to show you that the Lyris reading machine is as easy to use as a simple CD player.
Reading typed documents (daily and weekly newspapers...) & also listen to music CDs, audio books...
We can ask for the spelling of each word, and also their definitions, thanks to a dictionary, or, we can browse useful telephone numbers (emergency...)

And of course, Sonostick ! the bar code scanner, with a specialised software, voice-labelling bar codes on every day consumer goods (yet in France only).

The library version is used in the Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris.
The library staff are the only ones having the total control on the Lyris' hard disk (file, consult, or destroy documents).
