Canadian Healthcare Interviews

I'm an American citizen. During a recent 2-week trip to Canada to visit family, I took time to interview some Canadians regarding their healthcare system. I did this because of the ongoing debate in the United States regarding healthcare reform. I did my best to elicit honest commentary without any bias. I was just as eager to hear about the negative aspects of Canadian healthcare as well as positive.

I had hoped to get some interviews of hospital staff and patients; however, this was not permitted due to rules regarding confidentiality. As a result, I want to continue seeking out willing Canadian residents to get their comments regarding Canadian healthcare. I’m hoping these interviews will help allay some of the concerns and fears Americans may have. And, also help Americans make a more informed evaluation of what needs to be done in the United States to reform healthcare.
