The Sacramento Trad Jazz Camp faculty band performs "Lady Be Good".
Featured are Rusty Stiers - Trumpet, Anita Thomas - Woodwinds, Ed Metz Jr. - Drums, Eddie Erickson - Banjo, Westy Westenhofer - Bass/Tuba, Bob Philips - Piano, Terry Myers - Woodwinds, Shelley Burns - Vocal.
The annual Sacramento Traditional Jazz Camp hosts student jazz musicians from teenagers to senior citizens. Every summer, the camp is held for two weeks in the California Sierras. The camp is focused on improvisation, both individual and group, with an emphasis on taking theory into practice at all times. Students are assigned to bands with players of similar ability and experience, and perform in a final concert on. There are nightly performances and jam sessions, with campers and faculty participating. Campers receive semi-private lessons, group instruction, and attend theory classes.
