Why job loss inspired ex-City worker to make his mark with takeaway business.A former city sales executive says losing his job was the best thing that ever happened to him, after winning a nationwide market stall competition.
Matt Crawford, 30, said being jobless was the catalyst for launching his own business, Easy Nuh.
He won a competition called Make Your Mark in the Markets, wich pitted him against 30 other shortlisted entrants from across the UK.
Crawford’s new venture, a Caribbean takeaway stall, will begin trading at his local market in Gillingham, Kent, at the beginning of next month.
