00:00So, Amjad, when we are considering AI being developed from a for-profit system, can it ever be ethical?
00:11You know, again, you know, at the top of the show, I talked about how these labs have commercial interests.
00:19If they develop a racist AI, no one would want to use it.
00:23And in fact, you know, Google developed an AI that was trying to actually, you know, be overly ethical, overly diversifying and resulted in hilarious sort of outcomes, such as the like black George Washington and images like that.
00:46And so, and they immediately fixed that.
00:49And so, there's a huge economic and commercial pressure on these, you know, companies to create AIs that are useful and not offensive to their audience.
01:01That being said, I will say that there's probably a Western bias in these models.
01:07And so, if, you know, I think that's why probably China is trying to evolve on their own, but like, you know, other countries might be interested in that in the future.
01:17Or some of these companies would like change their perspective once they have enough sort of, you know, revenues coming from other parts of the world.
